A Photo of Me (And a Few of my Friends)

December 25 – Photo – a present to yourself

Sift through all the photos of you from the past year. Choose one that best captures you; either who you are, or who you strive to be. Find the shot of you that is worth a thousand words. Share the image, who shot it, where, and what it best reveals about you.

The paparazzi (aka, my mom) shot this one.  We had just finished my brother and his wife’s rehearsal dinner in Baton Rouge.  I have been talking a lot about it the last couple days, but family and friends are very important to me.  This picture sort of captures that, but more so than what it captures are the memories it brings back for me.

That was a wonderful time.  If I could go back in time and relive 3 or 4 days that happened in 2010, this would probably be the 3 to 4 days that I would choose (though, the following day would probably be the day that I would pick if I only had to pick one day).

What does it reveal about me?

For one thing, I think everyone in this picture is having a great time.  We are all laid back and care free.  Good times have been had and we are about to head out and have some more.  Specifically pertaining to me though, is how laid back I am.  I think that shows in the picture, but is doubly true in real life.

Second, I look good in my pinstripe navy suit and yellow tie.  At this point, I had been working out consistently for 3 to 4 months and am very proud of what I had accomplished in that time.  My health and fitness are very important to me.

There are a thousand and one things I could say about this photo.  For now, it was an amazing time during this year that I will remember forever.
